Under Missouri law, a notary who is not an attorney shall not assist another person in drafting, completing, selecting, or understanding a document or transaction requiring a notarial act (RSMo 486.675). What is Notary on Tap?
Notary on Tap is a mobile notary service based in the St. Louis area. We travel to homes, offices, hospitals, and other allowed locations for eligible notarial acts. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal or immigration advice.

Do you offer mobile notary for loan signings?
Yes — when title, a lender, or counsel has already prepared the package and everyone who must sign can appear with acceptable ID. We do not explain loan terms or choose documents.
Can you come to a hospital or nursing facility?
Yes, when the facility allows visitors for that purpose and the papers are ready. We serve facilities across the St. Louis metro, including South County, North County, St. Charles, and Clayton.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 6pm, Central Time.

Power of attorney, wills, and witnesses
Can you notarize a power of attorney?
If your attorney or the issuer already prepared a POA that calls for a notarial act, and identification rules are met, we can complete that act. We cannot draft a POA or tell you which form to use.
Can you help with a will?
A notary is not a substitute for an estate attorney. If a will or self-proving affidavit already requires a notarial act and is ready, we can perform the eligible act. We do not draft wills or advise on estate plans.
Do you provide witnesses?
Bring any witnesses your attorney or form already requires. We do not decide whether witnesses are needed.
What a Missouri notary can and cannot do
What can you do at an appointment?
Identify you under Missouri rules, watch you appear for the notarial act, and complete the notarial certificate for an eligible act.
What can you not do?
We cannot draft documents, select forms, fill legal blanks, explain legal meaning, or give immigration advice (RSMo 486.675 / 486.680). We do not advertise with non-English notary titles that Missouri law prohibits.
Do I need a notary for my document?
We cannot answer that. Ask the office that gave you the form, or a licensed Missouri attorney.
Fees (Missouri)
What are Missouri’s maximum notarial fees?
Under RSMo 486.685:
- Acknowledgment: up to $5 per signature
- Jurat: up to $5 per signature
- Signature witnessing: up to $5 per signature
- Certified copy: $1 per page certified, minimum $3 total

Is the mobile / travel fee separate?
Yes. Travel may be charged only if agreed before travel and explained as separate from the notarial fee and not set by the notarial fee statute (RSMo 486.685.3). Text or call for a travel quote for your location — we do not list a single travel price here because distance varies.
Absentee ballots?
Missouri law does not allow a fee for notarizing the signature on an absentee ballot or absentee voter registration (RSMo 486.685.5).
